Victoria Szymczak, Library Director and Assistant Professor of Law (B.A., State University of New York College at Buffalo; J.D., LL.M., Duke University; M.S.L.I.S., Pratt Institute) joined Brooklyn Law School in April 1996, serving first as Reference Librarian and later as the Electronic Information Specialist. She became Director of the Law Library in 2008.  Professor Szymczak teaches Advanced Legal Research and a seminar in International and Foreign Law Research.

Linda Holmes, Associate Law Librarian (B.A., Howard University; M.S., Columbia University) joined Brooklyn Law School in 1981 and is responsible for the public services department, which includes reference and circulation. She is involved in many library activities, including editing the Library Guide as well as writing the Library Tip Sheets. She is involved in several law library organizations.

 

Rosemary H. Campagna, Government Documents Librarian (B.A., Brooklyn College; M.S.L.I.S., Pratt Institute) began her professional career at Brooklyn Law School in 1983. From 1985-87 she served as Serials/Acquisitions Coordinator in the Technical Services Department and since 1988  has been the Government Documents Librarian. Besides providing general reference assistance, she coordinates part of the Library’s interlibrary loan operation. Her main focus is providing federal government information to the BLS community and to the public. Currently, she is focusing her attention on the electronic dissemination of government information via the Internet. Ms. Campagna is a Library liaison to the Brooklyn Law Review.

 

Jean J. Davis, Reference Librarian/International and Foreign Law Specialist and Adjunct Associate Professor of Law (B.A., Duke University; J.D., Boston College Law School; M.S.L.I.S., Pratt Institute) served as a Library intern at Brooklyn Law School from 1990-92. Since 1993 she has been a Reference Librarian at Brooklyn, specializing in international, foreign and comparative law research and is the Library liaison to the Brooklyn Journal of International Law. She teaches Advanced Legal Research and a seminar on International Legal Research.

 

Harold O’Grady, Reference Librarian and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Law (B.A., St. Peter’s College; J.D., Rutgers University; M.L.S., Rutgers University) joined Brooklyn Law School in December 2003. He works as part of the Brooklyn Law School reference team, coordinates the library’s work study operation, teaches Advanced Legal Research and provides general reference assistance. He is the Library liaison to the Brooklyn Journal of Corporate, Financial and Commercial Law.

 

Kathy Darvil, Access Services/Reference Librarian and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Law, (B.A., University of Michigan; M.S.I., University of Michigan, J.D., Fordham University) joined the law library staff in November 2007. In addition to serving as a a part of the reference team, Mrs. Darvil supervises the the Library’s circulation operations, teaches Advanced Legal Research courses, and is the Library liaison to the Moot Court.

 

Karen R. Schneiderman, Emerging Technologies Librarian and  Adjunct Assistant Professor of Law (B.S, Ohio State University; J.D., University of Toeldo; M.L.I.S., Kent State University)  joined Brooklyn Law School in March 2009.  Karen wears a lot of hats including coordinating the library’s Web 2.0 initiatives; teaching Advanced Legal Research and providing general reference assistance. She is the Library liaison to the Brooklyn Journal of Law & Policy.
